ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement a maintenance program for all equipment and vehicles.
Shop Coordination. Typical tasks: keeps inventory of parts and supplies; requisitions parts and supplies as needed; coordinates flow of equipment awaiting maintenance or repairs.
Provides direct guidance to lower-level auto mechanics who may assist with major repair work.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and occasional plant facilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of industrial construction equipment and vehicles.
Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments as needed.
Be familiar with and have a working knowledge of forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, generators, air compressors, gas and diesel vehicles.
Occasional requirement to deliver/pick up equipment from worksites.
Take immediate actions to eliminate safety hazards in the work area.
5 years of journeyman-level automotive mechanic’s experience diagnosing and performing a variety of complex repair work on automobiles, trucks, or industrial equipment.
2-3 years of shop foreman and/or leadership experience.
Good attitude and the ability to be a leader in a team environment.
