Sacramento, California – September 1, 2021
HMI Industrial Contractors, the leading industrial contractor in the West since 1991, is celebrating 30 years of providing industrial millwright services to customers throughout Northern California and the West.
Over thirty years HMI has grown from a garage-based business with one truck, to a fully operational forty-thousand square-foot industrial millwright facility located within a five-acre yard. Today, HMI offers customers a comprehensive multi-million-dollar fabrication shop, accessible via 30-foot by 100-foot hanger doors, equipped with the latest industrial technologies, from five-ton bridge cranes to an advanced High-Power Laser cutting system, complete with a dedicated in-house operator and staff CAD designer.

In its early days, HMI operated as Harelson Mechanical, working primarily in the food processing industry. While providing millwright services for the food processing industry remains part of the core business, HMI has grown. The company changed its name to HMI Industrial Contractors, Inc. and evolved to serve large public and private entities, including organizations in manufacturing, aggregates, cements, mining, warehouse distribution, wineries, beverage, public works, renewable energy, and utility industries, as well as partnering with global equipment manufacturers.
